  What is coolpets.com about?

Hmmm. Good question. Since most of the stuff on the site will be submitted by you, the coolpets user,we really don’t know what you’ll come up with, but we know it’ll be good.

What are our core values and corporate philosophy?

Hey, isn’t your parakeet working on this one? Or is it the guinea pig? Whatever. Have them send it when it’s ready to post.

  Where are we located?

We’re in Charlotte, NC.Move over, pup – I think we may have visitors coming!

Who are our investors, board members, and our executive team?

Another tricky question because we don’t have a board. We don’t have an executive team. We don’t even have outside investors. We don’t have anyone telling us what to do and put on the site, except well, you and your pets. Hey – does this mean your dog is our boss? Could be worse.

Will you feel terrible if coolpets makes money?

We may be weird, but we are not crazy. If through its advertisers, coolpets makes enough money to offer a cool site and make a profit, we will not feel bad. Doggy diva day and vet visits get expensive.

What marketing studies have you done on the pet industry?

None, based on the number of times I’ve stepped in poop on my morning walk, it looks like almost everyone in our neighborhood has a dog. We also have many friends with pets, so based on that data, we can safely say there are a lot of cool pets.

  Are we pet experts?

We knew you would ask that. That is a little controversial, but we will come clean. You see the founder’s family had three pets die last year. First, “Little Moe with a Gimpy Leg” died. He was a lizard with… well, a gimpy leg that we tried to mend. He lasted for awhile. By the way, we never shortened his name. Then Andie died. That was very sad. Andie was our 15 year old Cocker Spaniel. Then our hamster, “Piggles” died. We think “Piggles” was old too. We also have fish, but have not named them, and a rabbit named, “Chubby.” Our “Little Green Machine (carpet cleaner)” broke, but as soon as we get a new one, the new puppy search will begin. By the way, the “Little Green Machine” is the best thing ever. We are not pet experts. We are just experienced pet owners.

We love our pets (most of the time). We feel pet owners cumulatively can create a much more interesting and informative site content than we could ever do alone or even with big investors and snooty employees. Our goal is to offer and continually improve upon a site that enables pet owners to contribute and discuss what interests them.

With your help, with our lean, mean, and experienced staff, and a few sponsors we can together create a cool site. That is our vision.

Legal notice: Although, we may have our favorites, Coolpets.com does not discriminate against any cool pet. We allow dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, and even lobsters
(yes, we have a member with a lobster family pet) to be a part of the coolpets.com family. Our legal team has strongly suggested that we advise you, that even though all your pets may get along perfectly and even be in each other's friend's or family lists on coolpets.com, that in a live situation, there may be some minor or major tussles.
